# Secret Stays

> Secret Stays is a book about independently selected mountain hotels in Switzerland, published in separate English and German volumes. This is the English version; the German version is at https://secret-stays.com/llms.txt.

The English and German editions are published separately. Every hotel is visited in person and assessed against a consistent set of criteria for its setting, cuisine, rooms, and personal service. The editors alone decide which hotels are included, and inclusion is free for hotels. The book is available in the selected hotels and through partners, from tourism boards to brands that suit these hotels. Advertising and sponsored tourism board pages cover most of the costs; both are labeled in the book and kept separate from the hotel pages. Selected hotels can order copies for their rooms.
